Beaches of Phuket are world famous and attract tourists from all over the world to the famous beaches to Patong, Karon and Kata to visit. So much so that many people complain these beaches have lost their charm. They say Phuket can no longer claim an idyllic tropical island holiday. The beaches are crowded. Deck chairs entire length of beaches, sometimes three or four rows deep. Jet skis, banana boats and parasail boats plow through the water while vendors ply their wares up and down the beach. There are more than 40 beaches around the island of Phuket and there’s something for everyone. If a beach holiday with good facilities, but have not then Nai Harn, Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao, Nai Yang and all have good hotels and restaurants do not attract a large audience crowded. If you really want to get away from the crowds then Nai Thon and Mai Khao beach in the north of the island are usually very quiet.

Banana Beach
This beautiful beach is in the northern part of Phuket between Bang Tao Beach and Nai Thon Beach. It’s a nice 2-100 meter stretch of sand, strewn with stones in the center and surrounded by trees. It is a good swimming beach and there are some great snorkeling. It’s no shelter and only one restaurant on the beach with a handful of beds on the south side.
Normally there are only a handful of visitors to this beach. Most of them come with a long tail boat from other beaches, but in reality you can use the beach of the coastal road above and there is a way down.
Pansea Beach
At the very northern end of Bang Tao Beach is beautiful and peaceful Pansea Beach. There are two up-market resorts here yet the location retains its refreshing tranquility. Just offshore is Kala Iceland (or Kata Island depending on who you believe), which protects the shallow bay from waves so it is always quiet. It is a great beach for paddling and ideal for children to play. Pon beach
This secluded beach is in the headland north of Patong. The locals know it as Nai Yair Beach. It’s amazing how little people are, consider this beach is so close to the hordes at Patong. Usually there are a few locals rent deck chairs and selling refreshments. It can be achieved for a small fee for crossing the private land on the beach.
Paradise Beach
In the south headland of Patong, there are two beautiful beaches, which are still relatively untouched. The first is Paradise Beach. It’s a beautiful beach with overhanging trees. The beach is not the best for bathing due to the rocky seabed near the coast, but there are some excellent snorkeling. Usually there are enough people around, but still it’s amazing how many people in Patong do not know this beach is here.
Freedom Beach
you can get this beautiful beach only accessible by boat. It is in the headland south of Patong all the way around and back to the Karon Beach side. But it is worth the trip with a fantastic swimming and snorkeling.
There are a few restaurants and plenty of deck chairs under the trees. The local population with the greatest care from the beach and it is always spotless. Many people make this a day trip from Patong but the beach is never crowded and again it is amazing how many people in Patong do not know this beach is here.
Nui Beach
This beach is most known how difficult it is land is reached. It is also known as the most expensive beach in Phuket, because you stabbing on private land to reach it and do it cost 250 baht for the privilege. This fee, you get a drink and lounge. If you get it, it’s a nice secluded spot with good swimming and snorkeling. It is a rustic restaurant overlooking the beach but no accommodation. It is never crowded.
Ao Sane beach
This beach is in the headland at the north end of Nai Harn Beach. You have to go by car from Le Meridian Phuket Yacht Club Park to reach it, but do not stop. There is a restaurant here and a few budget bungalows on the beach. It is actually a series of three small beaches separated by small rocky headlands. None of them is good for swimming from rocks and coral near the beach. There are some excellent snorkeling.
Laemka beach
This small beach at the southern end of Phuket between Rawai and Friendship Beach. The Evason Resort and a small bungalow resort are nearby, but still the beach remains calm. It is one of the few beaches in the south, where you can swim and there are fine views of the southern islands.
Ao Yon beach
Nestled deep in Cape Panwa is Ao Yon Beach. This is the best beach on the south side of Phuket Island. Although it is well developed with houses, there are no hotels or restaurants on the beach. It is home to Phuket Yacht Club and there are always plenty of boats in the bay at anchor. It is a beautiful stretch of sand and a good bathing beach.
